Only 33 miles from Glasgow, Bute is one of the most accessible westerly isles from the Scottish central belt. Bute is only 15 miles wide and 4 miles long but with so much to see, do and admire there’s not a chance you’ll get bored. Bute is renowned for its glorious gardens, so be sure to check them out when visiting.

Known as the gateway to the Isles and the Seafood Capital of Scotland, Oban is a bustling and lively seaside town, with so much to do its unlikely you’ll ever get bored. If you do however run out of activities then we think that the spectacular views from the harbour will keep you entertained for hours.

Staffa

Staffa is a beautiful little island, located south west off the isle of Ulva and halfway between the Ross of Mull and the Treshnish Isles. Staffa is an unspoilt and uninhabited island with the most famous feature being Fingal’s Cave, a large sea cave that is 20 metres high and formed in cliffs of hexagonal basalt columns.

Mull

Mull is the second largest island on the Inner Hebrides after Skye. The island’s main town is Tobermory which is renowned for the bright and vibrant colours of the waterfront buildings which were featured on children’s TV show Balamory. With beautiful beaches and wildlife in abundance, Mull is a great place to explore with many visitors hoping to catch a glimpse of the infamous basking sharks!

Iona

Iona is a small island on the Inner Hebrides that is only 3 miles long and home to less than 200 people. Long known as the ‘Centre of Christianity’, visitors to Iona flock to see the famous Abbey, St Oran’s Chapel and St Columbas Bay. Aside from the historical attractions, Iona is one of the most visually stunning islands the Inner Hebrides has to offer. So after you have taken in all the amazing historical landmarks we highly suggest you relax and enjoy the unspoilt views on offer!
