St Andrews & Kingsbarns Distillery
Duration: 10 Hours
The tour departs from our office at 87 High Street on the Royal Mile at 10.00hrs and encompasses the picturesque fishing villages of East Neuk of Fife and the world-famous town of St. Andrews – Scotland’s home of Golf and a visit to a Whisky Distillery.
We leave Edinburgh and travel north to the famous Forth Bridge where we stop for pictures before entering the Kingdom of Fife. Fife is well known for its picturesque little fishing villages. We will stop at Anstruther with its prize-winning delicacy “Fish and Chips” and its picturesque harbour.
On leaving Anstruther we will visit Kingsbarns Distillery for an optional tour of the distillery and a tasting for “The Water of Life”. Enjoy the light, fresh and elegantly dry style of Whisky.
The highlight of this tour is a visit to St. Andrews with its sandy beaches, where you will have time to visit the Old Course and explore the town’s many attractions including the ruins of the 13th century St. Andrews Castle, its Abbey, Scotland’s oldest University and the British Golf Museum. Afterwards, we travel south to Edinburgh returning at 18.00hrs.
