Glencoe and Glenfinnan day tour from Oban – new for 2018!
Duration: 7 Hours
Departing Oban bus station at 10am, you will travel towards Glencoe via Tyndrum. Ancient, inspiring and daunting, Glencoe is an imposing glen formed by violent eruptions and has been used as a backdrop for many films, ranging from Braveheart to Skyfall and was also featured in the Outlander television series. Sights to look out for include Buachaille Etive Mor, Glen Etive, The Lost Valley and the Three Sisters.
From Glencoe you will travel onwards, via Fort William, to the stunning Road to the Isles to visit Glenfinnan, home to the famous Glenfinnan Monument where the 1745 Jacobite rising began, Also close by is the Glenfinnan Viaduct, known worldwide by Harry Potter fans.
Leaving Glenfinnan you will return to Oban via another scenic route, arriving back at around 5pm.
Your driver/guide will provide commentary throughout the tour and make regular stops, allowing you to enjoy the scenery and take photographs. There will also be a 45 minute stop at Fort William to allow passengers to have lunch/refreshments.
NOTE: Entrance to the Glenfinnan Monument is included in your tour price. Lunch/refreshments are not included.
This tour operates on Wednesdays and Fridays from late May until September.
