Later opening hours are in operation to accommodate all shoppers, however to avoid the Christmas chaos make sure to have your presents wrapped early this month.

Over the festive period George Square also plays host to the city’s hugely popular Santa Dash, which takes place on the 6th of December. The event itself is a 5k charity run, that’s contributions this year will go towards the Princess and Princess of Wales Hospice in Glasgow. This truly fantastic and light-hearted event sees runners dressed as Santa make their way around a short city-centre circuit. The city’s motto “People Make Glasgow” has never felt quite as apt, with the event plainly illustrating Glasgow’s sense of humour and community.
